I want my hair to be natural. What is the best way to let the perm grow out? What do I do to my hair?

Well I did not do the “Big Chop”. I just went to get my blowouts every month or so (too much heat applied to the hair can be very damaging so the visits can be longer to avoid that) and every time I would go I got my ends clipped. Gradually all my processed hair was being removed while my natural hair continued to grow. This was back in 2011, and my hair is longer than before and 100% natural now.
