Hilary’s Journey

Hi, my name is Hilary. I have been natural since April 2014. It’s been a hectic but liberating journey. People here in SA still judge you by the texture and straightness of your hair. Many “coloured” folk often ask me when I’m gonna “fix” my hair.

Black people think my hair is just so cool. Other races try to figure out how I can wear my hair curly one day and then all pulled back the next.

All in all, it is a very exciting journey. Saving loads of money on hair products. Just using Olive Oil and still experimenting with various shampoos and conditioners. Our range is not as vast as yours in the USA – which is a bit of a bummer.
