Mediterranean Diet For A Longer Life

I came across a CNN article recently about diets.

More and more Americans are becoming health conscious. All major fast food and sugar drink companies have reported major losses in profit because people simply are taking their health more seriously.

That being said, the Mediterranean diet is essentially the go-to diet for living a longer life. Leading reseachers from all over the world have determined that this lean meats, high vegetable intake diet could be the best in the world.

Why is it so great? The Mediterranean diet involves a diet plan rich in veggies, fruits, legumes, beans, organic grains and a limiting supply of wild meat.

It essentially dismisses all processed food and even welcomes alcoholic beverages like wine after the right meal.

And adopting the Mediterranean diet could help prevent or completely avoid a ton of health problems amongst all people including:

  • Heart Disease
  • Parkinson’s Disease
  • Alzheimer’s Disease
  • Cancer

Heart disease is a major problem in the country. Blacks are far more likely to deal with some form of heart problem later on in life due to lifestyle choices and bad dieting. Some major problems associated with heat disease include:

  • Diabetes
  • High Blood Pressure
  • Kidney failure
  • Obesity

All of the above are serious health problems that have plagued black communities in the USA for years. With a Mediterranean diet, one could avoid such health problems and cure his or her body from the inside out.

A plant and fruit based diet does a host of benefit for your skin and hair too. A better diet could:

  • Reverse hair loss
  • Clear up acne
  • reverse hormonal imbalance causing excessive hair growth
  • strengthen hair and nails
  • improve eye sight
  • give you more energy

If you are interested in trying a Mediterranean diet remember these three things:

  • EAT A LOT OF: Vegetables (the greener, the better), fruits, legumes, beans, nuts, organic grains
  • EAT SOME: fish, white chicken more often
  • EAT LESS: meat
  • EAT VERY LITTLE: processed and fried foods, sweeteners
