Protective Style: Tree Braids For Natural Hair

Tree braids are a beautiful style for natural hair. And it is very simple!

Tree braids (sometimes called invisible braids) are nothing more than hair added into a cornrow, creating a lovely protective style.

While curly human extensions are most commonly used with tree braids, straight human hair can be used too. And depending on the look you’re going for, you can have synthetic hair installed too.

Another great thing about tree braids is that they take NO WHERE near as long as other braid styles like Senegalese twists, micro braids or box braids. At most, tree braids may take 2 hours to do. Because of this, tree braids are no where near as expensive either.

The one downfall to tree braids is the lack of styling options. Unless you want to reveal your cornrows underneath, you can do little with tree braids.

On the flip side, the only thing you need to know how to do with tree braids is cornrowing and adding hair to it. That’s it!

Additionally, with your natural hair being cornrowed, you can still wash and oil your scalp with tree braids.
