Regina’s Journey

I am Regina Grace originally from Mississippi but live in Denver, Colorado. I started my natural hair journey in 2008 when my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. She began to lose her hair due to her chemotherapy treatments, and she was very upset about this. My mother was very strong, however she saw her appearance and began to not eat, having poor health, and was losing faith. I was so broken by this that one evening I told my husband to cut off all my hair because I wanted to show my mother my love and support to her. This was in honor to let my mother know that she is beautiful no matter what.  My mother has been cancer free for seven years.  Since then, I have decided to keep my bald fade and to inspire women everywhere to BE You and DO you! I feel liberated and free to wear my hair natural! I embraced my natural hair because God gave it to me!
