Wash N Go For 4C Hair
One of the most challenging things for 4C naturals is to accomplish the basic wash n go.
Because of the curlier hair texture, within a matter of hours, the hair is in a shrunken state again, making the appearance of bounce loose curls look like a matted mess of goo!
While it is not always the easy thing for most 4C naturals to attempt a wash n go, it can be done; it just takes a little bit more work.
The following steps will help you in creating a wash n go look for the day. Unlike women with other hair types, 4C hair requires the following:
- A Wash
- Leave-in condition
- Oil
- Wide tooth comb
- A light gel
- A water bottle.
There are basic steps to attempting a wash n go. So it’s definitely a wash but not so much a “go” since you will have to take extra time with the extra products!
- Wash your hair. It does not have to be a heavy wash.
- Condition your hair with oil or your favorite conditioner and then use a or leave-in conditioner/cream of your choice to seal in moisture.
- Section your hair while it is still wet (but not sopping wet.)
- Take care to put extra leave-in conditioner/cream and a light gel in each section. Depending on how thick your hair is, you may need to make sub sections in your hair.
- Be prepared to re-wet your hair is needed during this process. Just put water in a spray bottle and wet those sections that dried up..
