Brittany’s Journey

My natural hair care journey started when I was in high school. I decided when I graduated I would join the army… Once I realized all the exercises and duties required of me I knew the relaxed look was too difficult to maintain, more expensive and time consuming. I went completely natural during my training and absolutely loved it !! I began to embrace my natural hair and curls… Moisturizers like Olive oil kept my hair soft and using a hair wrap at night locked in my moisture. Humidity was no longer my enemy and I do not hesitate swimming and other activities I use to avoid when my hair was relaxed. I am now six years natural and still enrolled in the United States Army, going natural was the best hair choice I’ve ever made.
