My Anaconda Don’t!

There has been such an immense amount of women over the past couple of years that have fallen prey to this trend.  I use the word trend because, although women have always purchased butt injections, it was not until the last 5 years or so, that they became so obsessed with it.

Why has this trend become so popular lately? Who do we point the finger at? The hip hop culture? Video vixens? Voluptuous women we constantly see in magazines? I would say all of the above, could be to blame.  However, let us not rule out the most important culprit here; LOW SELF ESTEEM.

We can point the finger at anyone or anything, but no one can FORCE us to inject our bodies with harmful chemicals to look better.  Unfortunately, that is the woman’s decision.  If we were all happy with what God gave us, then this world would be such a better place, wouldn’t it?  Sadly, it does not work that way, when magazines, T.V, social media, and other outlets, are saturating our minds non-stop with what THEY THINK looks good.

I hate to break it to ya, but we are nothing more than customers to these industries.  They could care less if we lived or died, after getting injections, or taking pills to enhance our bodies.  They feed off of low self-esteem, people who need better, want better, and thrive to look better.  This is how they make their money, because if no one on this big blue marble had a problem with their bodies, where would these industries be?  That’s exactly my point; we have slowly been told that we need to have an hour glass shape to be accepted by men, or anyone else for that matter.  Let’s face it ladies, we all want a nice size chest, a flat stomach (maybe even a six pack), small waist, toned legs, and a rotund backside, to give off that voluptuous physique.

Sure we can all admit that it does not help when you see celebs like Jennifer Lopez, Nicki Minaj, Kim Kardashian, Serena Williams, CoCo (Ice T’s wife), Buffy the Body, Black Chyna, Traci Ellis Ross, Beyonce, Tiny (T.I’s wife), Amber Rose, etc.  Of course SOME of the women that I just mentioned have not received any butt injections, yet there plump backsides are constantly discussed in any magazine, on any gossip site, and things of that nature.

A movement has been sparked, but I feel as if women do not understand the dangers of putting these hazardous chemicals into their bodies.  I have seen so many horror stories about botched injection surgeries that were done by non-licensed practitioners.

Now don’t get me wrong, I have no problem with someone choosing to enhance something here and there, to feel better about themselves; no judgment on my end.  However, you have to be smart enough to do extensive research and make sure that you are not about to go under the knife, with someone who has read the book: “Butt Injections for Dummies”.

All is well when you are getting non-stop attention, the cat calls have multiplied, and men can’t keep their hands off of you.  But once things go amiss because of a botched procedure, and your ass starts to look like a garbage bag full of rocks, there is no one to deal with it, but you.

We need women to be less careless, as well as seek more knowledge about whatever type of procedure or injection they plan to get.  That isn’t too much to ask, is it?

Till next time dolls!!
