As the days become shorter and the temperature cooler, I ponder about several hairstyles to wear during the winter months. Like most curlies, the only thing I can look forward to in the winter months are wearing coats, boots, scarves, sweaters, and most importantly little to no humidity! Humidity is just about every curlies nightmare. Winter is definitely one of the perfect times to wear your curls without the most dreaded fear-frizz! However, on the flip side with winter comes dry/cold air; which can cause hair to become dry. That’s why its important to ensure hair is completely moisturized from both root to tip first with some type of water based moisturizer or leave-in conditioner and then sealed with an oil based product such as jojoba, almond, castor, or grape seed oil.
Some curlies may choose to wear their hair in protective hairstyles to ensure the hair is tucked away from the winter’s harsh cold and dry weather to combat dry hair. Some of these styles may be weaves, twists and braids with or without extensions, updos, or whatever other creative hairstyles that are created.I usually wear my hair in several hairstyles like any other time throughout the rest of the year, however in the winter I do frequently wear my curly/kinky hair out.How do you curlies typically wear your hair in the cooler months? I would really love to try the senegalese twists, but I have yet to find someone to put them in for me (I want extensions). Love winter hair though!

Do you have a video for the hairstyle that is in the profile picture. I love it and would love to see how it is done.
